The 28” Radiant Feathered Star block sits in the middle of this medallion-style quilt. The center of the star is made from eight fussy-cut wedge-shaped Kaleidoscope pieces. For a simpler version, choose the Snowball center made from a single large square with triangles in the corners.

Skill level – intermediate with experience in foundation paper piecing.

Please note if purchasing the PDF version – printing of certain pages is necessary (for foundation paper-piecing of the star feathers and the templates for the star arm and Kaleidoscope wedges). For accuracy, make sure that your printer prints these at 100% (some printers have a default of 98%). The half-square triangle units for the feathers should measure exactly 1½” square.
